Common questions
When do I get paid?
Stripe handles payouts to your bank account. Payout timing depends on your Stripe settings — typically 2–7 business days after a payment clears. Mandalo shows you when a customer has paid; Stripe manages the deposit.
Do customers need an account?
No. Customers open the link and pay by card, Apple Pay, or Google Pay. No sign-up, no app download, nothing to install.
Can I send links by text or email?
Yes. Enter your customer's phone number or email when creating a request. If you provide an email address, Mandalo can send the link automatically. For phone numbers, copy the link and text it yourself.
Who handles card security?
Stripe. Card numbers, CVCs, and bank details go directly to Stripe's secure payment system. Mandalo never stores raw card data.
Can customers save a card for next time?
Yes. Customers can opt to save their card when they pay. Each future payment request from you still requires their explicit approval before any charge is submitted.
What about refunds and disputes?
If a customer wants a refund, they contact you first — the merchant. You issue refunds through your Stripe account. Card disputes go through the customer's card issuer and Stripe. Mandalo keeps the payment record as part of the receipt trail.
What does Mandalo cost?
Stripe's standard processing fees apply (typically 2.9% + 30¢ per transaction). Mandalo does not add a separate fee on top of what customers pay — the amount shown to the customer is the amount you requested. Merchants absorb the Stripe and platform fees.
